Review of Renegades
Great Strategy Game!

This game was a lot of fun overall. So to start off you’re given two soldiers and some basic instructions on how to open doors, kill enemies, move, etc (Your basic tutorial level of sorts). From here on out you go to more and more levels with different objectives ranging from rescuing someone to killing everyone to holding down the fort for turns on turns. When you rescue people you actually unlock them for use in your “army”. Each mission has a set of side objectives that help you to earn more money that allows you to buy equipment for each of your soldiers. The equipment has all kinds of different attributes not all of them helpful. The gameplay in itself is a turn system where you have so many actions points to move, attack, or reload. When you end your turn, your enemies do the same thing and return to the top when they’re done. The game obviously gets progressively harder as it goes on, so making sure you know the range of your equipment as well as the damage it causes and how many rounds it shoots each time become absolutely critical. Overall you just need to have a basic strategy to pick off your enemies while keeping your guys alive. That is a constant objective to not have any casualties on the mission. The others usually have something to do with a turn limit and the main objective. Making sure to accomplish this allows you to make your soldiers better and make the game a little easier. Overall I was a big fan of this game because it involved some strategy and planning to make the best choices for your soldiers and complete the objectives. I can see people calling it a little slow since we’re used to shooters but for me it’s a nice change of pace. I would highly recommend giving it a try!
