Swords & Potions 2

Swords & Potions 2 is a multiplayer time / resource management game by Edgebee Studios. The premise is that you have opened a new shop in town and it's up to you (and up to 11 others in your city) to arm the customers with the items they need for their quests. The idea is fairly unique in that you are not the adventurer slaying the dragon, you are the shopkeeper who sells him his gear. At first one must hire workers they want from a growing pool of workers and have them craft the items you want to sell to the customers that come into your store. Customers can be sent on quests or into dungeons or a host of other jobs that open up as the game progresses, keeping you interested and motivated to continue playing; the hallmark of a good game.
The graphics are nice and polished with great detail being put into almost every facet of the game. The glass is shiny, the capes billow behind customers, and the display racks are filled to the brim with interesting equipment. There is, of course, not much for a storyline as you simply sell items to make money to sell more items. This does make the game simple to learn but provides days of enjoyment, as in this case simple is sometimes better. Being a multiplayer game with data stored server-side, hacks are difficult to come by. Nevertheless the game is quite fun without them.
With the recent inclusion of intercity PvP there is now more ways than ever to play. PvP can by ignored as well as only those who wish to enter will opt in and those of a less competitive nature can still play alone or with their friends in their city. The music can get tiresome (though it does match the tone of the game well) and can be muted.
The biggest issue with Swords & Potions 2 is the customer inquiries. Customers tend to ask for the best gear they can use, so if you find, buy, or make a rare or expensive item intended for dungeons or PvP, they will ask for that item until you refuse them until they are upset enough to rarely visit your store or relent and sell them the item. This does severely limit some play styles but the chances of finding an equal or better item is relatively good so don't be afraid to sell those items and put the money to good use.
Premium items exist in plenty as well. All but one premium item (Mithril Gears) are found frequently as quest rewards, daily log in bonuses, and from other sources while Krowns are earned from PvP. Some modules for your shop (notably the resource bins) require these Premium items to upgrade them to their final level, but a lot can still be purchased with the Premium items received throughout the game.
As a whole, Swords & Potions 2 is far superior to its predecessor dispite its few flaws that progresses at a pace perfect for a fun but lengthy game.
