Different Take on a Card Game

So first and foremost I'd like to point out that I really hate the typical card games they throw around on Kongregate.  However, this is not one of those.  This is somewhat of a MMORPG mixed with a card game.  Yes there's the typical leveling up cards by paying for it or combining it with cards of a similar type, but the game itself consists of actually taking 4 cards into battle and controlling them as they fight waves of baddies.  So there's a small tutorial at the start where some demon gives you the basics of how to play.  He starts you off with a healer and a fighter.  Obviously the fighter does his thing while the healer does his.  From there you do a few other small battles where you unlock new cards and use them in battle.  Then he explains how you evolve cards and upgrade them by means of sacrificing others to make one stronger.  As with most card games certain things have more effect on others.  So there are four basic elements to which each of your monsters can belong and it is strong against one and weak against another.  So choosing the right monsters could help turn the tide of battle in your favor.  The concept is pretty basic and it combines two different styles of a game but it's enough of a difference to make things interesting.  So I really enjoyed this game and if you're anything like me and how I feel about the card games that always seem to get badged, you'll enjoy this one.
