Idle Raiders, a promising Idle for RPG fans.

05/11/2015

One of the better ideas for an Idle games I have seen, particularly if you are a sucker for old school rpgs.

True to the genre of idle games, most gameplay is automated. You send your troops out ot farm gold and xp, then use these resources to expand and levelup your team. Then you send them out again to get more xp and gold... repeat ad infinitem. Once you have killed a certain number of enemies on each farm map you get the option of sending your troops to a harder map.

Items can drop on the farm maps, but they appear to be limited to single use buff scrolls.
Gold can also be used to buy items from the merchant that perodically appears in your home base. Currently the merchant sells skill books that can be equiped on each character and various one use items. The skill books can give significant upgrades and are almost always worth buying.

The most interesting feature of the game is the raids. The option of going on raids appears after you have passed through the first few farm maps and more raids are unlocked as you complete more farm maps. If you aren't using hax these raids present serious challenge, using the scrolls collected from the farm maps is recommended. Completing a raid will give you an equipable item. Currently each raid drops the same item every time you complete it.

Currently in alpha, so content is limited. Developer is promising much expanded content soon.
