Same and even more boring so

Yet again we come upon another "Sentry Knight" game. Nowadays, nobody likes a sequel, but they aren't bad, but the problem is that...When there's a sequel, that is 2, there should be 3 instead of a "spin off", right? Well, this seems to be a spin-off and not the 3rd.

Funny, this game has a story! You're apparently a lone "Marksman" just camping with a fire in the woods, then a Sentry Knight comes and tells you to get the message and map. Sadly, or whatever, the Sentry Knight gets killed by two Skeletons behind (dumbass). Whoever did it, at first it's a "faceless shadowed faceman", the typical, that's right. So what's your objective? Well, as the Marksman says, just because this guy is a coward, he wants to go and kill that faceless guy. Wow.

Way to go, "hero". So, the storyline is that, you're actually a villain about to kill a coward. Cool, I always wanted to play as a psychopath, except not really because nearly everyone is.

There's a bigger problem than the storyline, and it's not even the gameplay yet, it's just how the game is demonstrated. So, you start the game and the first thing you get is "Please Greenlight this game, without you we can't do it". Seriously? They are begging me to upvote for a Steam Greenlight game? I understand that they need to advertise this because communication is still not seen everywhere, but damn, advertising your own game on your own game just sounds plain silly. This isn't something to be overly-outraged about, but it sure helps to know.

Now, let's start with Gameplay...
Unlike the other "Sentry Knight" games, this one is no longer a stationary tower defense, it's now more like a mobile tower defense. You control a guy, the Marksman, you move around with your WSAD or arrow keys and use the mouse to aim and shoot. You have to avoid being attacked because you only have 4 HP points (That's right, 4 "hearts"). Your gun is not powerful, but you can upgrade it. It's also rather slow and you can't upgrade that. At least it is always accurate, but that could be because the bullets are big and slow, so it doesn't even matter anymore.

The goal is pretty much "Survival", you got to go from level to level (just like in the other Sentry Knight games) killing wave enemies until you got them all. You know, this actually seems to further make the protagonist look like a villain, he's going around killing life that is probably innocent, he's in their territory.

Anyway, as I mentioned before, there is an upgrade system and I only noticed one that is atypical, the "Decrease your hitbox" upgrade. What does it do? Well, as it says, it makes your hitbox smaller, so you're pretty much hard to hit. It doesn't really make you smaller. If you think this upgrade is useless, you are right. The rest of the upgrades are just plainly the same; HP increase, Damage increase, HP Regeneration, Gold magnet, etc

There's one huge issue in this game; The enemies. The enemies are very goddamn boring, just...WOW. All they do is get near you and attack, that's it, no tactics to avoid getting shot or anything. Does that make the game boringly easy without you having to die? No, sadly, it makes it way harder. Why? Because you also gotta move around and there's pretty much shit everywhere. If this means nothing to you, the very first enemy (not counting the Skeleton) is a Slime, if you kill it, it spawns 3 little slimes. This is why enemies are boring; They are just a bunch of spawners that die in one hit.

Slimes are not the only enemies, there are also Skeletons, which pretty much try to get near you and shoot at you...More like "get shot by you", because that's what they really are. They are very easy to avoid (unless you got a lot of enemies on your tail) and they are very dumb to try avoiding you, so yeah.

As you can see, the enemies here are just completely boring, even more so than in Sentry Knight. This is a huge issue. And knowing that the first enemy is a fucking slime that spawns 3 more lil' slimes just makes it even.

Besides, the levels just feel very repetitive. They're somehow cubical (No, don't make me mention Minecraft here) and they always have the same terrain (except in the later levels). How many times are we gonna see cliches like those?

I'm not really much into reviewing Controls but this time, let's make one. Why is that? Well, believe it or not, this game has an "Autofire" function, and it's disabled by default. How do you enable it? Go to the menu, options, "Controls" and set them all however you want, then FINALLY (or right in the middle more like it) set the Autofire on. What the hell, developer(s)? So, I have to waste my time redoing the controls (yet I use those controls perfectly fine, no need to change) just for me to enable Autofire, a thing I love? What an asshole move.

Okay, now let's just go for the Graphics;
It's okay, I'll quote the Iron Sheik "(it's) okay, better than nothing". Yep, it's OK. So, the graphic quality looks okay, nothing impressive or fancy, luckily it's no overly-fancy. It's cartoonish, which I don't really mind. The animations could be better but I'll just give it an OK as well. There's not much to tell, there are "two faces" on each character, the gun and hands can move around any way, there's no enemy colour variants or so...

Now, for Sound and Music;
The music is boring, even Sentry Knight 1 and 2 had it better. The music just doesn't seem to fit here, at all, and it's very repetitive. Like on every other games, huh? I'd recommend to set it to low or just turn it off.

As for sounds, they're very goddamn stupid. You kill one bat, same kill sound as if you kill a worm or slime. Kill a Goblin? Maybe you killed a Skeleton, if you know what I mean. Repetitive sounds.

Overall, this isn't a game worth playing OR BUYING, hopefully the dev will never release it to make it buyable and all, because damn, it's not worth the cash. If you are bored, worth a play.
