Idle games in general are time wasting games. I mean that's why you play idle games right? Crusaders of the Lost Idols is a really great game with consistent replay value. The game introduces formations which can increase your dps by a ton. You don't have to get stuck with that final hero grinding all the time. You could continuously upgrade a hero which quadruples their damage every 25 levels after they reach level 200 really ups the game another notch. It makes old heroes relevant even when you have the best one. The most important thing is that there are chests and those chests give you upgrades that could seriously impact your formation.
Let's talk about formations. Formations impact your team dps or the gold that drops by the effect of the heroes. The formation goes by 4 rows: 4 heroes in the back row, 3 heroes in the row in front of it, 2 heroes and then 1 hero in the front. The hero's abilities could increase dps of those behind it by a whopping 40% or increase those in front of it by 65%. They can also increase the whole dps by 10% or 20% which is a big deal in this game.
Now the reason why this game has so much replay value is because of the different game modes after you ascend. You choose a different type for diamonds which is an in game currency for boxes. Boxes give you gear or just a boost. Now boxes are extremely important too. They could make a completely useless hero to the strongest by one or two item that boost the dps. These boxes are differentiated into two different types. One is a silver box and the other is a jeweled box. Silver boxes give you common-rare gear or boosts and jeweled boxes give you uncommon-epic gear or boosts. Epic gear are extremely hard to get but give extremely strong upgrades which is why the game has great replay value.
So yeah, you might actually want to give this bad boy a try because it'll take your time. Just kidding, you can speed hack it.
