My thoughts on Shop Heroes for PC and Android

01/13/2016

I started playing Shop Heroes because I was looking for Swords and Potions 2 on the Android and this popped up. I found out you could log into Kongregate on Android to save progress across PC and Android so I tried it out. I must say, I enjoy this game way more than Swords and Potions 2!

There are no "days" to play through. You just keep going as long as you want, but the city and hero sections are quite similar to Swords and Potions 2. The trade system is very easy to use as well. The graphics and animations are far better than Swords and Potions 2 as well. Navigating the game can be troublesome sometimes but for the most part it is pretty straight forward. The quest system is really easy to use too. You can even upgrade your heroes with the mutitude of items you can craft. Upgrading them with items and leveling them up increases there "strength" which lets them do harder missions in return for better items and xp. Dontating to your different city buildings does more than just give permanent bonuses. If you donate ANY amount of gold or resources to a city building you get a temp bonus to whatever that building is related to. For instance, you donate to your Inn, and it decreases the amount of time your quests take for 30 min. It gives more reason for lower level players to donate and not just leach off of higher level player's cities.

Overall I really like both the PC and Android versions of the game, and like that I can have my save game on both. It's worth a try at least once if you like shop/merchant games or time management games.

Cheers!
