Best Tower Defense I've ever played.

Bloons Tower Defense 5, or for familiar user say, BTD5, is your classic tower defense game with a monkey versus bloon themed game from Ninja Kiwi Games.. Your goal is just to eliminate every bloons, yes you call it bloons, without the 'A', and survive as long as you can.

The games is pretty basic, but it has some unique features which might freshen the player's viewpoint of tower defense. At the beginning of the play, you will have to choose a map, and then the map's difficulty or settings. It has 3 difficulties, the easiest has slower bloons, more lives and cheaper towers, the harder ones has more expensive towers, faster bloons and less lives. Since the game's protagonists are the monkeys, the towers are monkeys with different uniform, each specializing in a certain ability of combat. The first is the monkey dart, your classic bloon-popping, dart-throwing monkey!

Throughout the game, you will earn experience points which progresses your ranking. Ranking system is for unlocking powerful tower upgrades later in-game. It also has a tower experience system, basically you make that tower kill a bloon, it gets XP. After a certain amount of XP, or until the XP bar shown is filled, your tower will unlock an upgrade. There is 2 upgrade paths and 4 upgrade levels, the right one usually will enhance the tower's true power and the left to quickly buff the tower and grants an active ability. But at upgrade level 3, you can only choose one path, the other will be locked. This is where the fun strategy starts.

The enemy is well, a harmless bloon which seems to be extremely dangerous to the monkeys. The enemy basically only has 1 hit point, you hit it once, it pops. Stronger bloons don't have more hit points, they have more layers and move faster. There is also a lead-type bloon, which you can't pop with sharp things. A white bloon which is immune to ice, black to explosion, and a zebra bloon which contains black and white! Also a ceramic bloon which has a VERY tough layer to pop. Then it spawns a rainbow bloon (yes, you know how many layers will be). The strongest are MOAB class bloons, technically a zeppelin which is annoyingly tough to pop.

The towers aren't just using darts, some use glue (can be made to acid later or superglue), boomerangs, cannons, battleships, planes, and yes a supermonkey that has a very powerful upgrades. There are also several towers that doesn't attack but built to give support to towers in their area of reach. There also several agents (a special tower) which can be purchased from the store and has special abilites each. The game's developer also has a daily quest which upon completion grants monkey cash and achievement, which can be used to buy the special agents.

The maps has various backgrounds, from grasslands, islands, to a molten core of a volcano, each map has it's own difficulty, such as 1 start and 2 endings, etc. The game mode has 2 types, deflation and apocalypse. Deflation is you start at a high round with limited cash and NO income, see how long you last. Apocalypse is a non-stop bloon wave. One wave starts, it doesn't stop. There is also a sandbox for you to test tower strength, strategies, etc. It does not grant XP though. The gameplay also features a co-op gameplay, but only 2 players. You will be selected a random map and your area to build towers are evenly divided by 2, left and right.

From my opinion, if you need to relax and chill out or you just want to kill 10 enemies with one shot, this is the right place. It is very relaxed and the strategy is pretty mild so you won't get stressed from relieving stress.
