Prime World: Defenders, I stumbled upon this one while randomly running around the forums and I am so very happy that I did. I personally love all kinds of Tower Defense games and the harder they are the better. Prime World: Defenders give you a unique way of having your towers (Rage Of Bahamut if you know the card game for Smartphones)setup with little luck, evolution and fusion. With these on your arsenal you are given a deck of cards as your towers with all kinds of different towers from the land / air.. to air/air and land/land. you start up with bunch of cards and a tutorial to explain the work of towers. Evolution for tower levels and fusion for more damage and other attributes.
As you start playing you note that the basics are the same, direct, damage over time, slow, booster and detection. On first glare you think this is going to be the same as others like games (defense grid styled) and can't expect to be getting too much out. I was wrong, I found myself playing and playing as I got into situations of not having the right tower cards and enough fusion and evolution to battle the coming enemies forcing you grind yourself more cards in hopes of upgrades to your deck.
The game actually is harder as you pass the normal "no brain" zone and head first time to the wildness of the random luck and as you play you get to enjoy a nice story behind it all as you blast your coming enemies with several different kinds of magic. Towards the end you note that only few tower cards are worth keeping (slow, H-DPs and detection)and the countless restarts to fine tune your defense to beat challenges and maps. Finally you reach the end and its over, the sense of disappointment on your back telling "is this all?" as the Heroic mode is unlocked for you with bunch of challenges along the way and you find yourself returning to slaughter the enemies to beat the game.
Over all surprisingly entertaining game. Worthy to be played, only minus side is the advertising of in game purchase (you can grind all too, those bought with money are just for those who don't want to enjoy a grind and beat)
