I found the money with two results on a double*1 and a 4byte*1, I tried changing and locking to 4000, but the game spat out the following error:

Edit: Second time round, I didn't find any 4byte codes, but did find final score (I believe) with a simple double*1 scan.

Using double *1, I always end up with two addresses that change accordingly to my money, but when I change the value to something like 1000, or I freeze it, it doesn't change anything in-game. Am I doing something wrong?

You could just, you know, spell? I think I tried speedhack, and that works. Remember to guess vowels, then s, then t, then n, then b. I don't think there's a single word that doesn't contain one of those letters.
