First Shift was awesome, though only in gameplay. The parody and humor was flaccid and shit.

This game has a far better story and the gameplay is only tangibly related in that it's a platformer. The creator gave the better examples of Chronotron (though less complex, stupid and buggy) and Cursor*10 (pwnage game).

Awesome game. I felt so bad about killing Kathryn, I had to make a hack to prevent it from happening again.
