I'm using 5.6 since January and I checked, there's no new version of CE yet (well maybe a beta version).
But still, let's say I look for your "Monsters die as soon as they spawn" AOB (68 e7 03 d0 66 e7 03 24 00 0c 06 00 00) it scans for like a fraction of a second with no result at all.
I tried reinstalling CE already but no siry

Take a screenshot maybe? I'm not sure what could be causing it just yet though?

There ya go:
EDIT: Yes I'm sure it's the right chrome window / PID. Doesn't work for FF and IE either.

Try something else. Chrome is a multi thread browser, means that there can be 5 things in the CE thing. Try Firefox or something

It's not as weird as you think, Hypnotoad2k.

Chrome uses different processes for windows as well as plugins. This is a pretty nice security feature, as it allows for something to lock up and be terminated without closing the rest of your windows. The drawback of this for a CE user is that the Window Selector will not work. You select the process that is displaying the window when you do that, not the process that has the actual game running inside. Your best bet is to usually select the bottom-most Chrome.exe process on the process list (provided that you don't open new tabs between starting the game and attaching CE, since that process window goes by order of what spawned first)

Hopefully that'll help you hack games with more success with Chrome <3

Oh my god! THANKS so much guys! I'm not new to hacking, but this is my first time using ce where I can't use the window list, probably due to having tabs, or something, idk... I used one of the 2 iexplorer proceses and it works =D

As I said: I'm not new in the hacking business and I usualy edit Flashgames & other values while chrome is running. And it's usualy the top process.
And no that doesn't explain at all why I can access stuff on different browser and 10 minutes later not.
For me that "post" was plain know-it-all without reading the previous page (sorry it's harsh but true).

Anyway, thanks Mil and I enjoy your Array of Bytes.

No problem (broken image removed). Won't be able to make as many as usual though, uni has about 5 weeks left, with 6 assignments and 4 exams in that time (broken image removed). But when that's over, it should be back to AoB'ing for me (broken image removed)

Hey, I don't think AoB works anymore for this game, tried it over and over again, both on firefox and IE aswell, doesn't seem to find any of the AoB mentioned above, although it does find the gold and mana hex values, but changing their value doesn't seem to affect the game :S Just thought i'd keep it updated

You're wrong. They work just fine.

Now, about the Chrome issue. My technique is a little different.
First you need to know that the Chrome program that shows on top, in the process selection list, is always the tab handler. You can try it: Go to that, Speedhack to 0, and try opening a tab. The tab actually opens, but you'll never be able to use it until you remove the speedhack.
Most of the rest of the Chrome programs shown are plugins. Flash and whatever.

What I do here, is open CE before actually opening the game. I open Chrome, then CE, then enter game on my first tab. You will get two results: Either nothing happens, or you'll get another program in CE's list, which will be right below the Cheat Engine.exe one. If latter, you should then select it, and try Enable Speedhack. If you get a DLL Injection Failed (or something like that), try the one above Cheat Engine.exe. If the former, then try and picking them one by one and trying to Speedhack (sorry, currently I don't have a better method.)

Problem solved.

Well i'm no noob on CE, it's not like I don't know how to do it, simple fact is, the AoB method used to find the specified hex values doesn't work for me, it just won't find them/not do anything when changing the values, as a matter of fact i could change as many hex values as i want and no effect, not even game crash, (and yes it's attached to the right process/window) so anywho i'm just using 4b*1... thanks anyway...
