Yeah, this is actually a pretty easy one. If you're on windows 7 (or possibly vista), you can create symbolic links. Just sym link the chat.kongregate.com folder to any location on your network, and viola, everything will be handled over the network. (broken image removed)

How to do it verbatim from a website if you have vista.
Quote from: "howtogeek.com" C:Usersgeek>mklink The address to the usb storage is: \READYSHAREUSB_Storage The address to my chat.kongregate is: C:UserscompAppDataRoamingMacromediaFlash Player#SharedObjectsG9FYP3PHchat.kongregate.com What would I have to type into it for my computer to grab the kongregate file from the USB stick connected to the router? |

There's a link at the top of the page. It probably says 0 messages or something like that. Click on that, click compose message, enter my name, hit add, type message.
Or I could just send you a PM and you could reply to it...

Ahh, good old sync toy. I use that on my Win7 box for backing up a bunch of stuff. Remember, sync toy only runs when you run it. The instructions I sent you on symbolic linking network shares will keep everything up to date at all times, as only 1 instance of the data exists.

It most likely is going to be too frustrating to do what you said. You say map a network drive? You lost me there. I've spent the past 2 months in accountant mode and struggling to get it back into computer mode. Then you say make a symbolic link.. No idea how to make one in windows vista beyond command prompt?

First hit on google: http://code.google.com/p/symlinker/
Creates symbolic links on Windows. Network shares are pretty simple. Choose a PC to act as your "server". On that box, set up a network share. Right click a folder, share it. On your "client" pc's, open "My Computer" and click on Map Network Drive. Follow on screen instructions.
