I did a CE scan for All (Byte to Double) and found 9 addresses...freezing them seemed to work.

On closer inspection, it's a Double.

How did you do it? Nothing from increasing/decreasing, exact value, or *1.

sol editing:

start a new game, let 2-3 days without spending gold on anything, then save.

"chat.kongregate.comgamez0043560liveprefecturelogomochi.swftodoufuken.sol"
look in "gold"

It's a list of all prefectures and their corresponding gold value.
Search for your gold value, once you found it, modify it to whatever you want and save.
Refresh the page and load your save.

It works a treat. But you have to refresh the page, as Kazuki said.

Oh, and in order to help out a bit, just use "Chiba" and then change the value in the Gold-10 key to 99999.

Am I missing something? .Sol editor can't open the file, it comes up with the error message

Unknown type tag (0x32) for key 23 at position 0x0000009F.

Other sol files seem to be openable, though...

Grr, I already uninstalled Ragnarok. And it takes forever to find the one sol out of the list of hundreds.

Download Rag 8, so you can just extract it to a folder without installing it.
Go to Sol editor, and search for sols....then open any file (if you don't do this, you can't save the file later).
In explorer, go the chat.kongregate.comgamez0043560liveprefecturelogomochi.swf folder.
Copy the address from the address bar, and then in Rag, click on the folder icon and then do a ctrl-v (paste).
There`s your file.

To make more clear, Start with an Unknown Value (double), and with each unit bought, do a decreased value (or increased for each turn passed) until you get a set of addresses(I got (broken image removed) that changes with your money (being earned or spent). Don't change any value! and when you go to buy, freeze all of the addresses.

Caution: Unfreeze these addresses whenever you go to battle or next turn, or your browser will crash. Fun.

I have to say that the .sol method worked a treat for me...and I really didn't like playing this game...but oh, well. I hope it gets badges...as I've got it all done...the last few "black" islands are a bugger.

Just use 3 lots of samurais and then drag them to the right hand side of the screen before putting them to the "will" setting and then use a "freeze" strategy.

Do this a few times, and then you'll end up winning.
