I tried a few things (basic all 8*/4*/increase/decrease), but I couldn't find anything that seemed to work.

AS3 doesn't use _root variables.

Weapon overheat is 0-5000, double *1.
At first, I deliberately overheated my weapon, let it cool for a second, paused, looked for decreased value until I got it.
Also works: immediately at start look for 0 and look for increases as you fire (harder).
No particular address I could find. It resets every level so you have to re-search each time.

Right, using KH's hack to find your health, you can fix it for all levels doing the following:

1. Find the value in the first level and then freeze it to 100 or whatever.
2. Complete the first level.
3. Find it in the second level and then freeze it to 100 or whatever.
4. Complete the second level.

These two values are the only ones that control your health.
