Hi guys,
i have a weird thing which happened to me.
I was always able to run Sothink SWF Decompiler 7 without any problem, but from this morning it completely freeze on the splash screen and fail to load (i have to close it with task manager).
Now to be clear this is all happened yesterday so you can have a clue of what issue could i have and help me out :
1) I installed Adobe Flash Professional Trial, it was too heavy for my PC, so after some tryout i decided to unistall it.
2) After this Sothink could not open because it said Active X wasn't installed, but i had still installed the free plugin, so...(?)
3) I decided to unistall the free plugin for Firefox, Flash player 11 and reisntall all, cleaning before the registry.
4) Still the message pop out, so googling it, i've found that i should install the IE version of Active X... well i did it.
5) After all of this the Sothink SWF Editor started to work while the Sothink SWF Decompiler stopped giving me the Active X pop up, but from now on, it freezes on splash screen as i told you before.
6) Unistalled all, cleaned the registry, rebooted XP and redo the right installs many times, infact after 10 LONG hours i'm still here with this problem.
So i pray you... do you know what i have to do to unfreeze the *** decompiler and make it start?
Thanks for the attenction, i was long because i know that in this things, topics go on with questions on this and that, but it's preferable if i told you all i could at first post.
Anxiously waiting for your answers  (broken image removed)

Hi, i'm new, maybe i did/write something wrong or nobody knew the answer.
However, i just used an old restore point of my system and now all works, so if you wish you can close this.
Thanks anyway.

I suggest using Trillix Flash Decompiler

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?a6nq3gmh4ku7w6c

but it sounds like the DEP "Data Execution Prevention"  is blocking in from running it, first UPDATE ALL your .Net Framework files make sure your not missing any

you can read this site to see if you have any errors with your .Net framework files
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/04/30/8445569.aspx

If you find any errors I would suggest running .NET Framework Cleanup Tool and re-downloading all the .NET Framework files manually one by one IN ORDER!!!!

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/NET-Framework-Cleanup-Tool.shtml

here is a page of a link to ALL the .NET Framework files
http://www.askvg.com/what-is-microsoft-net-framework-download-links-for-all-versions-inside/

IMPORTANT!!!!!!!! to ANYBODY who is getting the error "Sothink SWF Decompiler.exe has stopped working preferably or ANY other error that involves crashing for Windows 7.

click the Windows logo button in the VERY bottom left, right click computer and select "Properties" a window should pop up click "Advance system settings" now another window should pop up under "Performance" click "Settings" once again another windows should pop up select the tab named "Data Execution Prevention" click Add and ONE more window will pop up. go to were Sothink SWF Decompiler is installed for example "C:\Program Files (x86)'Sothink SWF Decompiler"
now SELECT Sothink SWF Decompiler.exe and click open click apply then Ok
NOTE!!!!!!!! this also works with other programs that CRASH such as if you have "Flash Decompiler Trillix" and it wont open ADD it to the list then try running it.
NOW try Sothink SWF Decompiler.exe (broken image removed) have fun

I have a Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

but Like I said I would suggest using Trillix Flash Decompiler here's the link again
