MAA review

Hey,

Long time reader, first time writer.  Not very good at putting details togethr yet, but will try my best.

This game rates an 8 in my book and this is after extensive time spent playing.

Design and graphically, it reminds me of the good old-school side-scrollers of the sega/snes days.  To really see a careful design you have to make sure to keep the hi-resolution on.  However, I notice that this sometimes adds to lag, so if speed is your thing, you may have to sacrifice the aesthetics.

Story wise, it can drag at times, but Special Ops, along with new content seem to be flowing regularly these days so I cannot fault the design team too much.  The introduction of this second season was actually a turn. I like the gold weapons as prizes for th epic missions and the character alts as prizes for 100% completion.

One thing that you might not like is the money/energy system.  The charge for energy is a rather long wait.  However, the money and energy can be fixed if you choose to spend actual dollars (not in game currency).  I did small increments but never levels other players have claimed to.

Finally, the bane of the game, but also the most fun: the pvp.  For all its faults, the system (mostly) runs smoothly.

I think the game is a great way to stay connected to my favorite universe, while also satisfying my ocd pokemon collect 'em all attitude.

Thanks for a flash game that can occupy and presents a somewhat challenge.

O.
