Even when using cheats and hacks, PvP has become a real challenge, and many struggle to reach the higher tiers. So here we can discuss, share and strategize on how to build the strongest offense teams or the best defense teams to progress through the ranks with the tools we have available.

    you might try using a doom and demise method....
    doom removes a large amount of HP from the opponent when removed, demise removes doom. then maybe a heavy hitter like thor and then someone with a fatal blow.
    some of the current boss drops in the spec op cause doom and demise.

works even without any hacks!



Before you read on, you must understand that this tactic is very specific and requires heroes and items you may not own. But if you do, then it is easy and safe, and you can do it even without any hacks or cheats at all (but obviously it helps having them)


Hero Requirements:
- Beast with his Pestilence alt suit
- Invisible Woman

Item Requirements:
- Hex Wand (can be purchased in the shop for 64 gold)
   AND / OR
- Doombringer (mission gear: Season 1 Chapter 3 Mission 5)
- Norn Stone (mission gear: Season 1 Chapter 5 Mission 3)

Additional Item Suggestions (but not required):
- Empowered Tactician Suit (pvp reward)
- Empowered Generalist Suit (LE gear)
- Asgardian Tankard (LE gear)
- Abative Helmet (LE gear)
- Synthetic Cube (LE gear)
- Psychic Amplifier (mission gear: Season 2 Chapter 5 Mission 4)

 

The Tactics


* Invisible Woman uses Force Cage on the GB on every turn. That's all she does. This prevents the GB from doing anything, but you also can only attack the boss with Subtle attacks

* Pestilence Beast is there to ensure that Force Cage does not get removed, and to make sure that your DoTs will stick. Use his L6 ability every time you can, as it is Subtle and will put DoTs on the GB while he is force caged.

* Agent uses Doombringer every turn until he has ~20 stacks. This means the fight will take a while, so using a speed hack will help you out a lot. Using the above suggested items will also speed things up a lot as you can give yourself extra turns with the Asgardian Tankard, Tactician suit, and things like Abative Helmet, Psychic Amplfier and even Cosmic Cardinal will make sure that you do not run out of stamina (Doombringer costs a lot of stamina to use). Remember to also make sure IW doesn't run out of stamina, she needs to keep Force Cage up every round.

Once you hit around 20 stacks of Doom, attack the GB with the Hex Wand and watch him melt away in no time. It is a Subtle attack that will hit VERY hard when you have a lot of Doom, and it passes through Force Cage. Plus it puts all sorts of nasty DoTs on the GB - some of them can even kill him outrightly!

Q&A


Q: Why do I have to build Doom stacks... can't I just attack him with Hex Wand right away?
A: Yes and no. First of all, Hex Wand doesn't deal much damage without a lot of Doom stacks. And more importantly, Hex Wand can misfire and kill your agent! There is a chance that it will grant your agent 4 instant turns, after which he will instantly die. Without the Doom stacks, you will have to use the Hex Wand many times to kill the GB, greatly increasing the risk that it will misfire and kill you before the GB is dead. By getting 20 Doom stacks, the Hex Wand will hit very hard and you should be able to kill the GB in only 4-6 attacks, so it doesn't matter if the wand misfires - the GB will die too.

Q: I do not have Hex Wand and I don't want to spend 64 gold on it. Can I still beat the GB without it?
A: Yes you can, but it will take a lot longer. Using the same setup as above, you can still lock the GB away behind Force Cage while you build up Doom stacks on your agent, but on a 100% health GB you will need close to 100 stacks of Doom in order to 1-hit kill him with a high damage weapon. Just keep stacking Doom until you are close to 100, then let Force Cage time off and hit the GB with your agent. It should be a 1-hit kill.

Alternatively you can use the Norn Stone to much the same effect. Norn Stone increases your agents stats each time you use it (and with Snappy Service it becomes a quick action), and stacks I believe up to 100 times, allowing you to eventually 1-shot the GB.

Q: I don't have Beast's Pestilence alt suit, what do I do?
A: It is possible to substitute Beast for other heroes, but it complicates things. You can build a team that is able to survive the GB attacks while you try to keep Force Cage up, while you wait for your agent to gain Doom stacks. After a few rounds the GB will have all stats drained to 0, so he will do almost no damage and miss all his attacks, but he will still put DoTs on your team so you need healing or debuff removal. I suggest Iron Fist or even Scarlet Witch, who can help with debuffs on the GB with her L9.

    you might also try the above IW/hex wand trick.
    very time consuming but it might work.

But basically, if you don't have any of the special items like Corned Beef scroll, then what you want to aim for on your team are heroes that can shut down your opponents debuffs. Remember, you have AoE attacks, they don't.

Using hard-hitting heroes that can take out an entire team in one hit with aoe hack, like Thor, is only going to work for you in the lower leagues. Once you get into Vibranium and Adamantium, the enemy teams will have far too high stats for you to 1shot them, and then those heavy hitting heroes become fairly useless to you.

What you want to look for are power debuffs, things like Depower and Exhausted. Some of the best heroes for this are Havok (200 cp), Spiral (135 cp) and Captain America with his Steve Rogers alt suit. If you slap his personal e-iso from chapter 7 onto him, he will go first in combat and you can Depower the entire enemy team before they get their turn. Mix in some attrition dots and healing for your own team and you can get really far.

Another really good alternative is Dr. Doom. He is incredibly powerful with AoE hack enabled. Make your agent primarily into a support character with healing and debuff items (don't use him for dealing damage) and just keep Doom alive and let him do his thing. On my lower level weak accounts I've gotten really far just using him.

    using the corned beef scroll (plus another vapire hunting weapon) and brandons AOE, you can use its second ability to one shot     the opposing team.
    take heroes with you that improve your durability, rescue might be a good choice.

Fathead's Suggestions for improving chances with the corned beef method:

"Corned Beef doesn't always work, especially if you have low stats. It relies on your agent getting an early turn and that he stays above 60% health.
So obviously if you go up against a high stat Quicksilver team, your agent may very well get killed or put below 60% health before he even gets his turn, and thus you cannot activate the scroll.

Things that can help you get around this:
- Combat Communicator (SO item, not everybody has it) gives your agent a higher chance of going first
- Guardian Insignia (CO item, not everybody has it) gives you Survival Training, causing your to take 50% less damage while above 80% health. Alternatively you can also bring Falcon (costs 200cp) who has the same effect.
- Iron Fist with his E-iso has 100% chance to intercept and prevent 2 attacks, making him a good choice against Quicksilver teams as he can stop those early attacks. Protector heroes that can protect your agent are also good (Groot, Wonderman, etc.)
- Quick Action healing items or heroes that can heal, to help your agent stay above 60%
- Heroes that can grant extra turns so your agent gets his turn faster (Cable & Nico are the best at this)
- Items that gives your agent immunity or damage reduction to dots and damage effects (Techno Organic Skeleton, Fist of the Colossus, Atillan set, and more)
- Debuff prevention items, such as Mystic or Nightcrawler with his E-iso that gives Mystic Shroud
- Stun immunity
You will also want to bring items that either negate Disoriented or that can remove it (Scroll of Angolob, WCD, Sattelite Support, etc.) Because if your agent is disoriented, he has a 50% of hitting an ally with the scroll instead
Basically you want to do whatever you can to ensure your agent gets his turn as fast as possible and takes as little damage as possible during the first round."

My strategy for attacking team, always involving Scroll of Angolob (to remove that annoying popular mystic shroud except from Iron Fist), Depower debuff to make enemy team look so stupid, and some massive HP sapping debuff such as mental anguish or doom-demise combo, will ensure enemy anihilation in less than 3 rounds, .
Pretty good to climb onto Vibra league, just by doing 5 battles per day.

The trouble lies on the defensive team :P
Might be, Rescue + Invisible Woman + Guardian Insignia can do good.

Basically, splitting my teams up as Team A, Team B, Team C and Team D:

Team A, level 300 and loaded. Has 111 hereoes all @ level 14, tons of LE items and basically a wallet warrior powerhouse account that can easily reach 2000+ rating without hacks if I wanted to, so not very interesting to talk about since it's not relevant to most people.

Team B, level 300 and the one shown in above Fe'Eb Den'roc video. Currently has 73 heroes, 67 of them @ level 14. Has a semi-decent collection of weapons and gadgets, but none of the really big ones other than WCD. Has the Corned Beef scroll, so again not that interesting to talk about.

Team C, level 300 with 59 heroes, 55 of them @ level 14. Has roughly the same arsenal as Team B but does not have Fe'Eb Den'roc, so this is a team that struggles in higher ranked pvp. I usually only end up in Vibranium, but if I push hard on the last day it can get adamantium.

Team D, level 216 with only 44 heroes, 39 @ level 14. Has no Fe'eb or other really usable items since they are all underlevelled and not very effective. Really hard to pvp on this account, it usually can't even go higher than Diamond. If I push really hard I can sometimes manage Vibranium on this, but mostly I can't be bothered.
