k guys here's a useful little trick I just discovered with the Arachnid set:
If the usual PvP hacks (xml, disorient) aren't working for you and is giving random CVE (as is the case right now), you're basically left with only the AoE hacks working, making pvp a lot harder. Especially if you don't have the corned beef scroll either. So try this:
* Agent in Blaster Uniform with Explosive E-iso equipped
* Superior Combat Sensor
* Chitter-Chatter box (S2 C5 M3)
* Optional Arachnid set item (Rapier, Vigilante mask or Bio-electric pistol)
* Any optional item of your own choice
Here's what you do on your agent's turn:
1. Use Chitter-Chatter to put flanked on all enemies.
2. Use Superior Combat Sensor as a Free Action, which counts as an attack and can therefor proc extra damage from Explosive E-iso PLUS your agent will do a brawl follow-up because of flanked
3. Use your main weapon do deal damage again, and watch your agent do ANOTHER brawl follow-up due to flanked
That's a potential total five sources of damaging attacks in a single turn just from your agent alone:
1 - Possible damage from the Explosive E-iso proc when using Combat Sensor
2 - Brawl damage from flanked follow-up from Combat Sensor
3 - Damage from your primary weapon attack
4 - Possible damage from the Explosive E-iso proc when using primary weapon
5 - Brawl damage from flanked follow-up from primary weapon
Needles to say, this combination can make your agent deal MASSIVE damage with AoE hack enabled. And then you still have the other 2 heroes to do their thing.
And keep in mind that Brawl counts as an unarmed attack, which means it deals extra damage if the enemy has combo setup, wide-open and exposed debuffs. So if you have Dragon's Foot, your agent can utterly destroy a whole team in a single turn without even using the other heroes.
Pair this up with heroes that have join-in/extra turn mechanics (Union Jack, Rocket Raccoon, Nul, Star-Lord, Havok, and so forth) for extra fun. Also getting in heroes that can apply combo setup (QS, IF, etc.) works very well, and of course Pestilence Beast is a very good hero for this since you really want that flanked debuff up and running.
