This only works on windows, there is a chrome extention called gameload which lets you play webplayer games. Also if you download the webplayer file from the website you can play it in fullscreen if not supported and without the rest of the page.

I'll be blunt: this is useless. By default it just handles the protocol by launching the game as if it was standalone on your computer. At this point shit could be broken already like playerprefs handling or sending external call to communicate with the browser tab hosting the game. If this doesn't sound already limiting and annoying then think that by launching it as a standalone application you just lost web authentication. On many games with online components you'll have troubles getting access. Truth to be told there's also a way to get over this last limitation by launching the webpage in a on the go browser mockup that just opens the page and doesn't have chrome's limitations and features. Being it this way do you think it's honest to call it "how to play unity games on chrome"?  Why not just using firefox then?

Firefox is removing NPAPI support by the end of the year, so GTFO.

Fuck everyone who thought hacking more plugins into browsers was a good idea, especially the Unity people.  Download and play your shit.

since new Firefox platforms do not have to support an existing ecosystem of users and plugins, new platforms such as 64-bit Firefox for Windows will launch without plugin support.

Because Adobe Flash is still a common part of the Web experience for most users, we will continue to support Flash within Firefox as an exception to the general plugin policy. Mozilla and Adobe will continue to collaborate to bring improvements to the Flash experience on Firefox, including on stability and performance, features and security architecture.

As part of our plugin strategy, Mozilla and Unity are proud to jointly announce a close collaboration and an aligned roadmap that will enable Unity-based content to be experienced directly in the browser without plugins. As this technology continues to evolve, Unity has announced an updated roadmap for its Web Player technology.

webgl is shit. Webgl is a jump several years back. I hate webgl. Javascript shouldn't be allowed to be used to run big games... Fucking browser cunts

No, it's not a virus. I'm sure someone would have said so by now.
