If you are using operating system win8 latest update. you actually may adjust it yourself with window setting if you wish. In the window directory, Control Panel/All/Fonts , you can find all the set of fonts using for all programs and displays. in win8 you can assign a font with smaller relative size or with different style to different part of the program. Copy a font file that you like in that directory and right click content->details->advanced -> open externally -> choose a program that can adjust a font file , such as hex editor or notepad pro something like that. then you can adjust the size or style of any specific symbol or character in that font file as you wish. If the system default of some specific characters is too big, you may change them to a relatively smaller size. After finish editing and saving, you then assign it to the program you need in the content->detail->advanced. it will apply immediately and it will override the system font type.
