Why not keep it simple and at the same time show we've grown? How about BeyondKongHack, KongHackAndBeyond or something similar with minimal change?

I hope you don't mind me disagreeing with you but "Beyond" is far from simple! It sounds like people who want to have a name in a MMO no matter what and imput a bunch of nonsense characteres just so that they can have that name (xCreamy, xCreamyx, xXxCreamyxXx...). That sounds just plain ridiculous and people would have a hard time taking it serious, even more so because we already own the name KongHack.
Now, if we were talking about our sloggan or our motto then there would have been no problem with that. A sloggan can be as nonsenical as you want as long as it portrays the spirit or idea you want people to have associated with your product.

I liked the name Konghack a lot, but I understand we must change it since it's not just Kongregate we cheat on anymore.

I thought "KingHacks" would sound good. Perhaps even "Ace of Hacks"?

Is Hex like another word for hack? If so, "Ace of Hex" sounds good itself.

For it, I would congratulate all Cheat Asylum's personal and all the hackers and programmers that had made this site, a Cheat 'Asylum'. (For us crazies who understand complicated language programming.)

I may be a minority, but, I think largely the decision should be left to be discussed by the donators and staff in the end. A public debate is a great way to start, but the people who help pay the bill should have the final say.

About changing the name? I like it to be changed, however to what I do not know

Here's version 0.2 of "HackAsylum".  I bought both Cheat and Hack Asylum domain names to corner the market. :P

Not looking too bad so far.  We'll need a logo, forum icons, etc.  Shrink your browser down till the menu drops into mobile mode, then click the mobile menu button.

Design wise, what do you guys think?  I want this to be something that's easy on the eyes for everyone.

I'd like the name in either KongHack red, or in some shade of blue.  For me, red is harder to see on black, but then again my eyes are all fucked.

Also, which do we really want to go with?  Cheat Asylum since more people search for "cheats" or Hack Asylum because we're fucking bad ass?

Well, I don't like Cheat Asylum, or Hack Asylum. Honestly I find it bad, no particular reason except for the fact it doesn't sound well reading it in my mind or saying it out loud. If I had to choose either one, I'd go with HackAsylum, cheat is overused and people slap cheat on the most non-cheat worthy things you could imagine.

Also for the test layout, the colors should be more EYE friendly, black and deep red and all those dark on dark colors are an extreme eyesore. I would suggest looking up some basic templates online or finding a web page that teaches color schemes at the very least to put something more eye popping but also gentle to the eyes.

Gotta be honest: I'm not a fan of the name. Cheat sites are very, very different from konghack. When I think cheatsite, I think of gamewinners.com, the site I used to visit for everything way-back-when. Cheats are button combinations like up-up-down-down, or inputted passwords. Cheats are also occasionally (again, in my mind) a page full of crappy gameshark codes, only half of which work. I understand part of the goal in rebranding is to increase traffic which can, among other things, increase revenues, but I think the word "cheat" should be avoided for the same reason "Kong" should be dropped: it's not an accurate description.

I hope I don't step on any toes, and it's clear I'm in the minority here, but I also have no special fondness for the "asylum" part. It does nothing for me. It's cute, I guess, but it doesn't really describe the site or its purpose. Every word need to count in a domain name since there are so few, and I'm not really seeing what "asylum" brings to the table other than to make the site sound kind of gimmicky. There's a spectrum on corniness, and it's usually best to stay away from the end that harbors such eyeroll-worthy names as "gamewinners".

When coming up with advertising slogans and descriptive brand names, it may seem overly obvious but the best question is usually to ask, "What is it?" Ignoring businesses named after their founders, this is the reasoning behind business names like Paypal, Burger King, Duracell, Home Depot, and more. One doesn't imagine Home Depot having quite the same 'oomph' as if it had been named Lumber Asylum... >_>

I haven't done any real SEO research on this, of course, but I just Googled "hack flash games" and the results are dominated by sites that host precracked versions of flash games. For that combination of search terms at least, KH has very tough competition in overcoming those more popular and more well-established sites, especially considering the fact that the sites that dominate the results offer a significantly different service/product than KH does.

I don't have any solid recommendations--though I'm somewhat partial to "xXxCreamyxXx"--but I'd like something more descriptive. Asylum feels a bit like the punchline to a bad pun, one person elbowing another playfully in the ribs: "Nyuck-nyuck. Get it? 'Cause we're so crazy!"

"Yes, dad. You're a scream. Please, tell me another knee-slapper." 9_9

Something incorporating the words "database" or "index" or "directory" wouldn't be off-base.

hackable.com?
hackToWin.com? hack2win.com?
Somebody's just parking on gamehacks.com, so that's technically available.
hackdatabase.com is taken, and might be considered direct competition if they weren't doing so poorly. That would have been an ideal name, in my opinion. Simple, clean, descriptive, and to-the-point.

Given more time, I'd also like to see someone come up with something that incorporates some wordplay or literary or poetic techniques of some kind. Alliteration. Rhyme. Elision. Contradictory morphemes. There's a lot that can be done here, and I think whatever KH has become deserves something as truly awesome as the site is.

As a KongHackKrack addict myself, I'd feel neglectful if I didn't say something. Simply put, I read pages 1,2,4, and agree with around 84% of what's said. I've never really been one to go along with a crowd. That said, there will be a few con's as proposed, for having a much broader user base by directing exponential attention to the site.
Forums flooded with trolls, and incontinence to be the least of worries. However I really can't bash the idea of trying to further express the major growth seen here by incorporating a new name, although, I have become partial to Konghack. HackAsylum seems like a far cry from the worst potential outcome. I have really yet to see in this topic many of the major contributors actually put forth actual descriptions of what all the site has become. It's a forum, hang-out, database, linkage, resource, as well as source of reviews, cheats, hacks, camaraderie, learning, resources.
Whether you call it a hack (modification) or cheat (anything giving an advantage) imho, is up to the individual and usage thereof. However, I am totally going to start a new business called "The Lumber Asylum" Our slogan will be "We got crazy wood" probably steal a screenshot from Idiocracy where they've got the two buildings tied together for a poster.
But back to serious business, I would have listed a bunch of words to use in conjunction with cheat/hack, but many are synonymous with eyerolling, such as: Mint, Shack, House, Site, Nirvana, Heaven, D-lux, Boon, Supply, Resource, Aid, Asset, Utility, Subsidy, Facility, Corporation, Garage, World, Max, Premium, Source, Center, Best, Hacked, HackThis, Addict, etc.
Many of which are quite popular. The whole trying to suggest a name that more accurately describes this illustrious and diverse group of crazy people, and their works.. First requires somehow summing up the whole she-bang, after-which you'd consider modifying a name to suit. I am partial to calling anything here more along the lines of Hack over Cheat. Although I'm still working on figuring out how aob's and such work, crashing lots of stuff..
Linking would definitely be one way to go, as well as throwing in popular verbatim words to catch search filters. Like Easy, Best, Wiki, "how to hack/cheat", and the like buried somewhere in/on the main page. (I don't think anyone's fixed that loophole yet)... Linking probably wouldn't be too hard, go to yahoo answers and post short answers to nubs with the link, and all those horrible "how to" 's that don't really explain anything. Also, in parting, I'd be fine if you kept the current name as a.. uh.. unno, a testament to more humble beginnings? lol. CreamyHacks.hackables
