Not currently. Anyway why would you ask, do you know some hacks that could benefit from being modified?

Yup, they can!  Just submit your own hacks, then you can edit them whenever you want! You can't edit other people's hacks, as that'd be wrong in so many ways. :P

I can't post my own hacks however yet as this account hasn't met the requirements to do so, could it be possible for my account to be allowed to submit hacks now?

Nope, you gotta wait.  I'm not going to program special exceptions into the site for one guy.

Editable hacks would be great!
I play sas 4 .... and ground my way to level 80 before your speed hack & no cooldown hack frustrated me into googling about it and discovering your awesome tool :)
I usually only use the damage and piercing, sometimes semi-invunerable. I don't want to be flagged as a hacker, and being able to adjust the damage up or down, say from x2 to x1.5 would give a much subtler but still useful advantage.
Another that would benefit is the "spawn more zombies" hack. Flash struggles on some pc's just with the x20 rate, let alone the x80! If we could adjust this one to our hardware's level this hack would be much more useful.
I am not competent enough to write my own ....... yet ;)

actually, this could be easily doable for specific types of hacks if it was something that people really wanted.

for instance say theres an AOB that changes the amount of stats you get for leveling up. if the person that created the aob wanted to submit an "editable" hack, they could specify which bytes correspond to the number, and could set an upper and lower limit for what the user can input. then when you use the aob it has the default, and an optional box to the side that you can type into that would change the aob accordingly.

this wouldn't cause any security problems for the site or the trainer if implemented properly, and it would work across all platforms and architectures. the only question is how many people actually want something like this, and how many people would actually use it?

thoughts?

I would have used it for my Astroflux zoom hack. I guess the question is if it's worth the time it takes to create a proper UI.

Should default values be mandatory?
Probably. I imagine parameters as something you can enter only after ticking Advanced. Assuming that, default values would either have to be mandatory or the hack would only work if you tick the Advanced box, which is obviously results in a pretty shitty user experience.

How many parameters should be allowed?
Some hacks change several things, e.g. "Bonus to: movement speed, attack damage, attack speed etc." would need two parameters. I haven't looked at the UIs for these things in a long time, so I don't know if it's possible to fit these things in without cluttering it too much.

What kind of parameters are allowed? What kind of calculations would be needed? Who would provide these formulae?
Decimal to hexadecimal. Problems with little/big endian (no idea how likely)? What about offsets etc.?

Text to ASCII. Probably not as important. Would other encodings be necessary?

The easiest solution would be to let the user input the exact bytes, e.g. 0D, 23, and 44 for the Astroflux hack. This would, however, result in a worse user experience.

If anyone is serious about wanting this feature I suggest thinking it through and proposing a complete solution. It doesn't have to be perfect, just good enough that the ones in charge of these things will bother giving constructive criticism.

-snip-

On the back end, it shouldn't be too hard. When submitting the AOB, optional values could be marked like "24 ZZ 02 02 47". This would allow for an easy way to mark AOB's as ZZ is not valid hexdec.

UI Implementation
This could get a little tricky, but going off of what KH said, the hacker maker would be required to include a default and then in the UI displays a checkbox that says "Advanced" and only show optionals if the user clicks advanced. This could remove new users' confusion on why they have to insert their own values.
