It's not that they arent unhackable it's usually highly illegal and can even get you jail time. Plus it would probably take quite a while to develop something useful. Props to people who can. Honestly probably not very helpul sorry ;( |

here are my 2 cents or opinion on the matter. Internet technology has matured and post year 2000 the generation that has grown has become very accquainted to it enough to conciously either use it or abuse it and with it the policies and laws surrounding the medium have also evolved. No longer curency needs to be in physical form or other real means . Cyber currencies and crypto currencies are real thing now and with it e-commerce bussines models such as nerflix , amazon , e-bay , STEAM , uplay, origin and all other private services have also matured exponentially where now the only metric of reliability and competitive edge is how well a service rate of adaptability is. So keeping these things/factors in mind the gaming industry after monitoring the mobile gaming bubble boom has decided to up the standard by exclusively turning the games from on-disc or digital local download level user agreed license content to full time intellectual propriteary based service experience where they have full control of their product and user has a subscription based premium / paid agreement or limited privellege to be part of their service experience and to achieve and sustain this business model every electronic service provider needs a form of private currency which can both be equalized to REAL WORLD currency and make transaction within platform more convenient for the user. |

Well, in my opinion. The reason is simply because most MMO's store their files in their server. Therefore we cannot really do anything to change those. |

Because they use servers instead of storing the information in the browser or the computer. It would be a lot more difficult to hack the server. |

It is because they require you to hack into another person's secured server. That server is secure and the person who owns it is required to follow Federal and International laws regarding server security. They would not just detect the hacker, but also give them a direct ID on where the hack came from. This in turn would be given to the police, who would come arrest our friend. Hacking is a crime, and it doesn't work anything like you see in the movies. The people who run these MMOs have financial information stored on the server, therefore any breach of that security is a federal offense. It does not matter if our friend stayed completely away from the financial information and personal identifying data (your personal information), the fact is they would have access to it and that is enough to put them in prison for the attempt. Any breach will be investigated. |
