So, what should we do?  I want to hear some feedback from the FC users before charging forward.


1) Migrating FC into KH.  This should be fairly easy for me to pull of.  I can develop a migration script over the next week, and run it next weekend, then lock FC down.


2) Integration.  This is kinda next to impossible, but it's an option.  Meh.


3) Leave them alone.  Yeah, this probably isn't going to happen.  Why try and maintain 2 copies of stuff when we can have just 1, eh?






Guess what?  I'm importing all of the members right now.  It's going to run for a while though...  74,000+ records takes a while to analyze, clean, and create.  I'm not re-creating 0 post accounts, and I am testing email domains against several blacklists to make sure I'm not re-importing bot accounts.

I'm for the migration, it would be nice to bring both sites together as long as the website itself has no connections issues and is running smoothly. Last time I went on KongHack it was a little sluggish navigating around, but it could have also been an isolated incident.

Time to start migrating posts.  Please refrain from making new posts, as I am going topic by topic.  Once a topic is imported, I'm setting a special flag so I don't accidentally double import.  We'll see how it goes though. (broken image removed)

loading the kongregate section is a bit slower than other forums. its in that processing data thing i guess.
