they (meaning playdumb) has never released a lockbox heroe for purchase with cp.
my guess is that the expired lockboxes will go on limited sales like over weekends or something like that in the future. 
and if they do ever do something like that where they are released for purchase rather than through the lockbox system, they will probably only be available for gold.

as for kang, mine is already lv 10....

box heros are never and will never be released for cp.
best u can get is discount on boxes bought by higher amount.
like 10 boxes for 8g and so...
