KHWar is temporarily down.  Well, it's still there, and who knows if it's working properly.  The mapping system relies on an internal socket system which may or may not be functioning as intended.  We've changed a LOT during our migration to our new host, so it's very likely that the game isn't working properly, if at all.

Well, as long as all the calculations are done server sided it would be hard to hack this game. You can only request the server to do something and it then checks if you are able to and responds to that. If all the values are stored and checked on the server and the client just diplays them you are out of luck.

Everything is server sided.  Everything.

If you notice, there's ~5s delay between clicks.  Not only is this done in the javascript, I'm using memcached to keep track of that on the server as well.  So, if you go nuts and create a bot to click like mad, all of the clicks won't go through.  As we get more players, I'll reinforce this with auto-bans from the game for too many clicks outside of the timeframe. ;)

Man, i already wasted 2 hours on that game, just couldn't stop :D I am still not quite sure how "Geo Eff" is calculated but it seems to go down if you have to many fields unconnected to others. Also not sure if that affects your success rate, mine now is 653/39.

Geo Eff seems to be based on land dimensions vs. land mass.
I.e. spread formation vs. tight formation: if you do long thin lines, it's going to decrease. However, if you make large squares, it will increase.

Your geo efficiency is based on how cohesive your land is.  A checkerboard pattern is the most inefficient, while a solid square is more efficient.

Purchaseable tech is not available.  Check the TODO List. :P

As your efficiency decreases, you will start to lose more and more attacks.  There is no minimum, so if you hit 0%, you have a 0% chance at expanding.  This will come into play more as I get PVP up and running, and will become crucial when you start defending prize orbs. :)

It's based on a game called "War of Conquest"  I do plan on taking it a bit further than they did though.  They ran for nearly 10 years if I'm recalling correctly.  This has been in existence for less than a month, and really only had 2- weeks of development time put in on it.

The grinding is just wow... I mean 380 Tiles for level 7! (That reminds me just how interesting you exp system is... I mean .94Xp per tile...)  And 536 Xp for level 8! Its fun but wowzerz someone that does not have a lot of time cant get to far...


Considering this has been public for less than a week and one guy is already at L30... I wouldn't worry about it.  The higher level you go, the less you'll earn from empty tiles.  I just got a basic PVP up and running that awards more XP. :)
