Also, when the time comes for a reset, give everyone who played the previous alpha, beta,etc. stages some ingame trophy xD
One way to implement this would be a consumable item in the site inventory that you apply when you create a new game account after the wipe.

The delay is set.  There are some actions that can take the server 2-3s to process (chiefly large nations attacking other large nations).  Geo-efficiency is a bitch to calculate until I devise a better map data storage system, which is a good 80% of said processing time.  I tried pulling a FIXED array of all non-water tiles this morning.  A simple, fixed sized array (fixed size array's typically consume 35-40% less memory) for our map consumed just under 200MB of ram, and only contained the map id's, no extra data.

tl;dr, delay stays.

When it goes public and there's a wipe, I'll be giving everyone a special item, and a bunch of points.

Yeah, I'm not writing my own XMPP JS Chat controller.  CandyChat is huge, that's why it's in its own slide-down panel like that.  There are no logs.

"There are no logs." - isn't that thing under the "toggle chat" button the game log? Or you added those since yesterday? They showed up for me just now while i was playing with my local proxy (trying to make the chat load) so i don't know.
Anyways, do with these logs (or whatever you call it) the same as with the chat, but don't hide, just assign it the lowest z-index.
And you have the basic MMO-style layout xD

1) Again, I'm not fucking with the chat.  I don't know if you're not getting the "it's a large client, and won't fit where you think it will", but in the event you're not getting that, just don't ask about chat anymore.

2) Yes, I added the logs late last night before our net died.

3) This game will be published on Kongregate.  You can't pass links to it...  So no...

4) The logs will eventually be going somewhere.  I just don't know where yet.  The next time you play the game, set your browser to about 950x650.  That's pretty much the screen realestate I have to work with.  This has to run inside an iframe that's heavily restricted.  Anything you come up with that would "cost" more in terms of screen size, or anything you could come up with related to jamming bullshit, passing variables, etc. into the game, just forget you had the thought, smile, and move on with your day.


It was mentioned at one point in time that we might want music.  Find me some light weight MIDI files that are royalty free and cost $0, and I'll add them in.  That is, so long as they're war themed or whatever.

Or perhaps some Fortunate Son: http://www.midiworld.com/files/1014/
Or there's always music from NewGrounds that could be used.

Either way, I typically mute whatever music most games come with, and since this is a long-haul game, the music would get repetative and irritating.

It's in the middle of the map to prevent clicking on something that you can't click on.  Even if you use your inspector to remove the overlay and click like mad, you'll get "clicking too fast" errors.

Not sure how to explain this but i'll try my best.

Area11 attacked my nation and he was taking over 2 tiles and immediately evacuated 1 of the tiles and he did keep doing this method for a while. I did attack his 2nd tile while it still was shown as his nation but my tile count did not increase even though i did conquer it? So conclusion: Your tile count does not increase if you attack a tile that is getting evacuated.

Side note: Screw you Area11 for attacking me so much and taking me Geo eff down to 1% :D

Your "tile count" is a literal count of database records.  It's not a field that gets values added and subtracted from it.

Right now they're just disabled.  This has been discussed a dozen times over in chat. :P

I need to get something in that'll hide them.  Otherwise I'd have to reload the content on every MyInfo reload.
