So how hard is it to 'reinsert' the xml codes after you've editted them? (or in this case we're trying to insert the XML codes you've already editted for us.)

here are the files: https://mega.co.nz/#!EZ0xGSZB!XemFgnvdUgipXipejoiuB0IN20ZL9o4g8zTaMB1jcaA

Thanks kirbyonwarpstar. This is the first time I will be using your file (and the last, from what you say) and I want to ask something.
You changed the boss type from mini to main. I would have understood if you had changed the multiplier for the mini boss but wouldn't changing the boss type cause the game to behave differently?
I mean, wouldn't each miniboss act as an independent boss and something "bossy" would happen? Thank you

yes and no.
this changes the boss type, and therefore multiplyer too.
this also makes it so that you fight all the bosses (mini and main) independently.
use it once and you will see what i mean.

bigjohn (and others who will be having to do this manually from now on):
use cmd and direct it to the curl folder.
then use the included curl commands (thanks jarly) to download the xmls (alternatively you can pull them from charles after loading them in the game, by selecting a mission and playing it, but that takes forever)
then i use a free program notepad++ to edit the xml files.
with each update i include a changelog of sorts that shows exactly what i do to each mission xml or client xml.
then you just map the modded xml to local through charles, and bingo!
i also like to map the files once and export that list. then it is easy to change the urls of the xmls from the last update (20150624165453) to the most current update (20150701092138) using NP++ find and replace (ctrl+h) then save and reimport the local mappings list with charles (saves loads of time over manual remappings)
if you need further assistance pm me again.

Kirby can it be a good idea to make a dropbox? where people can update it themselves for everyone. it could be an easy way to update stuff.

(What is up with everyone and their obsession with quoting massive posts today?  It's just unncecssary.  Clean threads don't require massive quotes)

bigjohn requested making a video walkthrough of the whole process, however doing that would not be as helpful as one might think.
so i wrote a more comprehensive walkthrough for just the 901.xml, however this is easily modified to fit any other mission.xml.

I SUGGEST YOU BEGIN BY DOWNLOADING MY PREVIOUS UPDATE:
https://mega.co.nz/#!EZ0xGSZB!XemFgnvdUgipXipejoiuB0IN20ZL9o4g8zTaMB1jcaA
the reason for that would be that it contains 2 helpful items.
    1. the curl program, which is very helpful in downloading xmls
    2. the "Changes to .xmls.txt" text document which catalogs all the changes that i would have made to the files in question, be they mission.xml, or client.xml.

ok now for the 901.xml walkthrough:
1. use the "cd" command in cmd to change the operating directory of cmd to the dirctory where curl is located.

 mine looks like this: "cd C:\Users\USERNAMEFOLDER\Downloads\Charles\Mission.xmls\Curl\"

2. then you issure curl the following command: "curl -O "http://maa*-a.akamaihd.net/marvelshield/production_n7/ac/20150611123144/client/xml/en_US/901.xml" "

3. be sure to change the * into a the number that works for your charles, mine happens to be 8, but i dont know if 8 will work for everyone. any way this command will make curl download the newest 901.xml.

4. place it in the directory you usually map charles to, replacing your previous 901.xml.

5. open notepad++ and make the following changes (using CTRL+H to find what is on the left of the arrow, and replacing all occurences of it with what is on the right):
    makes boss scores better, by replacing mini boss score multiplyer with boss score multiplyer
        <bossType>mini</bossType>  ->  <bossType>main</bossType>

    changes damage rate of enemy attacks
        <maxDmg>.*</maxDmg> -> <maxDmg>10000.465</maxDmg>
        <minDmg>.*</minDmg> -> <minDmg>10000.388</minDmg>

    maxes out in combat item drop rates
        <inCombatDropRateKo>.*</inCombatDropRateKo>  ->  <inCombatDropRateKo>1.00</inCombatDropRateKo>
        <inCombatDropRateHit>.*</inCombatDropRateHit>  ->  <inCombatDropRateHit>1.00</inCombatDropRateHit>

    to make enemies attack themselves
        <actionType>.*</actionType> -> <actionType>myTeam</actionType>
        <statusEffects>.*</statusEffects> -> <statusEffects>Rest</statusEffects>

6. then save the new modified 901.xml.

7. then you have to remap it, the normal way is to load 901.xml in charels by going to the daily in-game then just go through the mapping process over again. then clear you cache in-game to make sure you are loading the modified files.

however the way i like to do it is to export my current map of all the xmls with charles to an .xml then i use NP++ to edit it. i use the find and replace, CTRL+H, to replace the old update url numbers (like these ones: 20150624165453) with the new ones (like these: 20150701092138, which i know are already old), then just save the file with NP++ and import with charles. then clear you cache in-game to make sure you are loading the modified files.

if you have any further questions feel free to reply to this message and i will help you as best i can!
